Occupations connected to clean energy are projected to grow faster than the New York State economy. In fact, the NYS Department of Labor expects Western New York alone to generate more than 3,100 openings, each year, through 2024. 2020 U.S. Energy and Employment Report: Covers current and projected growth in employment for fuels; electric power generation; power transmission, distribution and storage; energy efficiency; and motor vehicles and component parts. Report published by the National Association of State Energy Officials in collaboration with the Energy Futures Initiative, with support from the U.S. Department of Energy.
